Repertoire Marco Goecke

Born in 1982 in Lower Saxony, Germany, completed his ballet training at the John Cranko School in Stuttgart, the state ballet school of the Stuttgart Ballet.
His first engagement took him to Deutsche Oper Berlin, in 2003. Under the direction of Sylviane Bayard, he danced in choreographies of Heinz Spoerli, Yourí Vamos, Angelin Preljocaj and Uwe Scholz. From 2004, he worked as part of the Leipzig Ballet, but also as a soloist in choreographies of e.g. Uwe Scholz, George Balanchine, Mauro Bigonzetti, John Cranko, MacMillan, Glenn Tetley, Marco Goecke, Peter Schaufuss, and Yourí Vamos.
Since 2012 Fabio has been working as a ballet master and choreographic assistant freelance in Berlin and began setting Marco Goecke`s and Uwe Scholz`s Ballets as well as working with Xenia Wiest in assisting function. This gave him the opportunity to work with numerous Ballet companies. He set e.g. a Pas de Deux from Marco Goecke`s ballet „Thin Skin“ at the Ballet of the Bolschoi Theatre in Moscow. Moreover, he was a ballet master at his ballet in the context of the new creation „All long dem day“ for the State Ballet School Berlin. After that he e.g. set Marco Goecke`s „Le Spectre de la Rose“ at the Ballett der Deutschen Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf, his ballet „Blushing“ at the Ballett Hagen, „Supernova“ at the Dance Company of the Theater Osnabrück, „Smokey Sarah“ at CODARTS in Rotterdam and „Äffi“ at the Dance Company of the Theater Luzern. Furthermore he also set ballets from Uwe Scholz („Air!“ and excerpts of cDie Schöpfung“) at the John-Cranko School in Stuttgart. In 2016, Fabio was Goecke’s assistant within the creation of his „Nijinski“ production at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart and in 2017 he assisted Xenia Wiest with her creation „Just before now“ for the Ballet of the L`Opéra national de Bordeaux. In spring 2019, he took over the complete rehearsal to set the full-length performance „Nijinski“ for the Ballet Zürich, Switzerland and in fall 2019 for Marco Goecke`s company at the Staatsoper Hannover.
