berllet International Ballet Masterclasses Berlin is a unique opportunity for young dancers to experience coaching of the highest level.
All classes are taught by current and former principal dancers, world-renowned international teachers, or artistic directors of leading companies. Dancers will learn the distinctions between the Russian, French, and other schools, and will be introduced to the styles of leading contemporary choreographers such as William Forsythe, Nacho Duato and Marco Goecke, including an opportunity to take GAGA classes (a movement language originated by Ohad Naharin).
International Ballet Masterclasses Berlin are held from July 27th – August 8th
This programme is open to ballet students from 13 to 19 years of age and students from professional schools, public or private.
This program is designed for young dancers who want a challenging summer dance experience, guaranteed to improve their level of technique and prepare them for the next school year. The Young Dancer Intensive program includes ballet technique, pointe, preparatory pointe, introduction to variations.
Young Dancer Intensive is a comprehensive 6 days a week intensive workshop for dancers ages 13-19 years.
The six-day intensive runs from 10.00 am-17.30 pm each day and allow young students to improve their skills in a highly focused environment.
Students will participate in at least four classes each day, Monday-Saturday, plus rehearsals for a final in-studio performance.
Open class for parents at the end of the first and second week.
All classes and the final showing will be held at the modern studios of the Berlin State Ballet School
During the day, young dancers are under our supervision.
The programme includes the workshop, presents (t-shirt), ballet photos, excursion and welcome party.
International Ballet Masterclasses Berlin is a unique event on an unprecedented scale in Germany.
Over 200 participants from diverse countries across numerous continents are expected.
Teachers and lecturers hail from more than 10 different countries.
Masterclasses will be held in modern studios in the east of Berlin, where the Berlin State Ballet School is located.
